  • Communication preferences and settings

Client Users:

  • Name, email address, phone number
  • Payment information (credit/debit card details)
  • Legal matter descriptions and consultation details
  • Documents uploaded for review

3.3 Recording and Storage

Consultations may be recorded for quality assurance, dispute resolution, billing verification, and regulatory compliance. Recordings are encrypted and stored securely. Both parties consent to recording by using the consultation features. You may request deletion of recordings subject to our retention policies.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

4.1 Between Users

We share necessary information between Lawyer Users and Client Users to facilitate consultations:

  • Lawyer profile information is visible to potential clients
  • Client contact information is shared with booked Lawyer Users
  • Legal matter descriptions are shared with selected Lawyer Users

4.2 Service Providers

We share data with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf:

  • Payment processors (Stripe, Paystack, etc.)
  • Cloud hosting and storage providers
  • Video conferencing infrastructure providers
  • SMS and email communication services
  • WhatsApp Business API providers
  • Analytics and monitoring tools

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information when required by law:

  • In response to court orders, subpoenas, or legal process

  • Communications through our Platform may not be privileged if not part of a formal attorney-client relationship
  • Technical limitations may affect privilege protections (e.g., temporary system access for troubleshooting)
  • We will not intentionally review privileged communications except as necessary for dispute resolution or legal compliance
  • Lawyer Users are responsible for advising clients about privilege limitations

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect confidential communications, but cannot guarantee absolute privilege protection due to the nature of technology platforms.

6. Data Security

6.1 Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures:

  • End-to-end encryption for consultation recordings
  • TLS/SSL encryption for data transmission
  • Encrypted storage of sensitive data
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Access controls and authentication requirements
  • Secure payment processing via PCI-DSS compliant providers

6.2 Limitations

Despite our security measures, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information:

  • Account information: For the duration of your account plus 7 years after closure
  • Consultation recordings: 7 years from consultation date (or as required by law)
  • Payment records: 7 years for tax and accounting purposes
  • Communication logs: 2 years unless required for dispute resolution
  • Analytics data: Indefinitely in aggregated, anonymized form

You may request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements and legitimate business needs (e.g., ongoing disputes, tax compliance).
